2001 TOYOTA HIACE HITOP CAMPERVAN.
It's just had a very stringent Qld safety blue slip and Gas compliance check certificate, so it's ready to go!
Qld rego 'til May 2017
This van is very reliable, comfortable and easy to drive, with power steering and good air conditioning and heating.
It's clean, tidy, and is a non smoking and animal free van.
It has a petrol 2RZ engine and it's an EFI. It's an automatic gearbox. Speedo now says 443,862 K's, but the previous owner assured me that the engine had been reconditioned around 335,000 K's.and having driven it, I can attest to the engine's capability, the van cruises quite happily at 110 k.p.h.
It has a good sound system with 2 Pioneer speakers in the front doors, and 2 JVC speakers behind the front seats, radio/cd player and Bluetooth.
The interior has been professionally fitted and everything works! The previous owner replaced 4 cupboard doors and one work top table with beautiful Tasmanian celery top/huon pine wood
There are 3 seats in the front, the fabric is in good condition with 1 small repaired area on the edge of the driver's seat,.
It is possible to climb over the middle seat to the back of the van, if you're agile!
It's a long wheel base Hiace, and it's 4900mm exterior length.( I made a mistake with the measurements that I'd taken earlier and told someone who sent an inquiry that it was 4770mm, but it's definitely 4900mm and a long wheel base!)
It has a solid bull bar on the front and a solid rear bar which protects the lights.
There is a tow bar and bike rack which came with the Hiace when I bought it. Since I haven't needed them, they haven't been fitted, but they go with the van.
The fridge is 12v/240v and there is a solar panel on the van roof which runs the fridge and some lights, and there is an auxiliary battery to store the solar power.
The gas cooker has 2 rings and a grill, which have just been adjusted properly by the gas fitter, to allow for speedier cooking. The gas bottle is in a separate compartment accessed from outside
There's a sink with a pump tap for fresh water and a fresh water tank under the back bench seat.
Plenty of cupboard space including under the bench seats at the back, which can be accessed from the top, rear, and one of them from the front.
There's a table which slots into the floor between the bench seats.
The bench seats make into a queen size bed which is very comfortable since the 4 long cushions are made of latex. The table top and another piece of wood fit into the middle section between the bench seats to make the bed. All the zippered cushions are covered in a fresh cotton gum leaf design fabric and are easily removed for washing.
There are cream colour block out curtains all round, and mosquito nets on the top and rear windows (4 in all)
There are two big storage shelves/extra beds ( for small children) in the interior
The bodywork is good, there is a small indentation/ding on the bottom edge of the sliding door on the passenger side, but it's hardly noticeable as you'll see in the photos.
There's a roll out Fiamma awning in good condition
This has been a really good van to own, safe to drive, very reliable and comfortable to live, sleep and cook in.
In case you wonder why I'm selling such a good campervan, it's because I'm going abroad for some time!
