The BMV-702 ( DUAL BATTERY MONITOR LISTED HERE) and BMV-700 Single battery monitor ( SEE OUR OTHER LISTINGS ) are  high precision battery monitors. The essential function of a battery monitor is to calculate ampere-hours consumed and the state of charge of a battery. Ampere-hours consumed are calculated by integrating the current flowing in or out of the battery.

FEATURES

Battery ‘fuel gauge’, time to go indicator, and much more .The remaining battery capacity depends on the ampere hours consumed, discharge current, temperature and the age of the battery. Complex software algorit hms are needed to take all these variables into account.
Next to the basic display options, such as voltage, current and ampere-hours consumed, the BMV-700 series also displays state of charge, time to go, and power consumption in Watts.

Easy to install

All electrical connections are to the quick connect PCB on the current shunt. The shunt connects to the monitor with a standard RJ12 telephone cable. Includes

Ease of Operation and Setup

By changing the way the buttons and menu works, operation is now easier. The use of scrolling text for the setup and history menus, simplifies matters. Now, you need no longer remember the meaning of H1, H2, H3 etc. The BMV-702 Series will first let the name of the chosen item scroll by, and then show you the value. For the more familiar user, the scrolling text can be skipped by pressing one of the buttons.

Improved Information

The read-out now includes Watts in addition to the basic information of Volts, Amps, Amp Hours, State of Charge and Time To Go. A SOC bar is also included in the bottom right of the read-out as you can see in my photo above. At the top left of the screen, in text, the display also shows which value you are monitoring. In this case it is my ‘Main’ propulsion bank.There are two new historical values also: total kWh discharged and kWh charged.Like the new instant Watts read-out. Now you can compare power used instantly, for example if using an electric propulshion motor you can see power used verses speed. This is a handy feature and saves doing sums in your head!

Functional and Operational Improvements

Clearer LCD Read-Out The segments are bolder and larger, utilizing two LEDs for the backlight instead of one. By using a different LCD technology, this has increased the contrast. Whilst the changes are subtle, they make a tangible difference. The backlight now has the choice of an always on function, if desired, for low light conditions.
Retention of History Data The memory of the history data is no longer lost with a loss of power to the monitor. The BMV-602 would lose all history data (H1 to H16) in such an instance. This is no longer the case with the BMV-702.
Integration with other Victron Products Using the free Victron Remote Management (VRM) website portal, integrated system information via a Color Control GX can display your current system status and energy flow. The site is accessible via a web browser or by using the free iPhone and Android apps.
Other Improvements The data connection on the back is now a proper socket, instead of a pin-header and can only be fitted one way.The new communications protocol is called the VE.Direct protocol which improves on the old BMV or text protocol, allowing the advanced ability to change settings, such as the programmable relay switching on and off.
Note. All future small form factor Victron Products that are too small for a VE.Can Communications Port will use the new VE.Direct Communications Port, as now fitted to the BMV-702 series and MPPT 70/15 and 75/50.

  • Can I have Large and Heavy Items sent to my P.O Box?
    autoelecau : No, due to Australia post’s maximum limit’s for larger items and items above 30 kg, these items can not be delivered to a post office box and will be delivered by courier.
  • Do I have to supply a Business / Commercial address for Larger and Heavier items?
    autoelecau : Yes. Please nominate your preferred business address for courier delivery during checkout process. Alternatively you can pick up from the nearest TOLL DEPOT. From our experience generally items arrive 3-5 working days for delivery to a capital city in any State , 4-7 working days for delivery to most large regional towns and 5-10 working days for delivery to other remote locations ( These delivery times are estimates only, and actual delivery times may vary.) We cannot advise or specify a delivery date ot time as this is not part of our contract arrangements with the carriers.

Deliveries generally must be signed for as per our listings , and anyone at the delivery address who receives the products shall be presumed by Autoelecau to be authorised to receive the products. If you wish for your consignment to be left without a signature, please request this prior to dispatch. Tracking your purchase:

When dispatch is arranged through Australia Post eParcel a tracking number is generated. We email you this tracking (consignment) number when it is generated at the time the goods are dispatched. If you wish to track your parcel thereafter, please visit Post eParcel http://auspost.com.au/track  and input your tracking number NOTE: The tracking number can take up to 24 hours to upload on to the Australia Post website . If we dispatch your order using one of our courier companies you will receive a dispatch email advising you of the consignment number and link so that you can track and trace your order until it arrives at your address.

Shipping Costs:

The majority of items in our store are freight free, but please refer to each individual listing regarding the shipping costs.

We use a linkage program that transfers what you have on your ebay order directly to the shipping label. Non-delivery:

Due to circumstances beyond our control and or despite our best efforts, sometimes items are not delivered as and when intended for a host of reasons, including...

Nobody home - Where our courier is unable to obtain a signature and in the absence of authorisation to leave the item without a signature, the item will be returned to the courier's local depot or post office.  You are invited to contact the depot via the phone number on the calling card to arrange redelivery or call into your local post office with your tracking number and I.D
Returns - After unsuccessful attempts to deliver a consignment, the courier or post office may return the item to us whereupon we will contact you for further instructions. The consignment will only be re-dispatched upon receipt of the appropriate second shipping charge.  In the event that the re-delivery charge remains unpaid for more than 30 days, your order will be deemed abandoned and may be offered for resale or otherwise disposed of without further notice. In this event, you release Autotelec.com.au from any liability whatsoever in respect of your purchase.

Abandoned goods:

If for any reason we are unable to dispatch items for which payment has been received for more than 30 days, the items will be deemed abandoned and we reserve the right to offer them for resale.  In this event, you agree that Autoelec.com.au is released from any liability whatsoever in respect of your purchase. All products are covered by a minimum 12 month warranty. In many cases the manufacturer provides a longer warranty period than this and we recommend that you go to that manufactures Australian website as these are same terms and conditions that we will support your product purchase under.

The warranty period commences from the date the goods are delivered (signed for). During the warranty period if the product is found to be defective it will be repaired / replaced as per the manufactures Australian websites terms and conditions.
